Patricia Lizarraga, Managing Partner
Ms. Lizarraga is the managing partner of Hypatia Capital Group. She is responsible for the vision, leadership and execution of the organization's strategy, as well as originating proprietary private equity transactions. She has over 20 years of merchant banking experience, as well as is a founder of several successful companies. She was most recently the Managing Director of Credit Agricole Securities' New York mergers & acquisitions group. She started her merchant banking career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. In addition, Ms. Lizarraga founded the Ursus Restaurant Group in 1997 and Ursus Agroindustrial in 2002, as well as is a founding member of Sigma SAFI, an asset management company. She also served as the President of the Privatization Committee of the Toll Roads of Peru. Ms. Lizarraga is on the board of directors of the Harvard Business School Women’s Association of New York, the Diller-Quaile School of Music, as well as a Trustee for the Museum of Art of Lima, Peru. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of women in private equity at professional forums and top business school conferences. Ms. Lizarraga received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Yale University and her Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
Mercedes Tech, Managing Director
Ms. Tech is responsible for identifying proprietary investment opportunities as well as negotiating and structuring Hypatia Capital investments. Prior to joining the Hypatia Capital Group, Ms. Tech was a managing director of Societe General's Capital Markets Group and a member of its Capital Markets Executive Committee.
Ms. Tech has also previously held senior positions in Citigroup's and Chase Securities' Capital Markets, Restructuring, and Investment Banking Groups.
Ms. Tech received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Irina Anguelova, Managing Director
Ms. Anguelova is a Managing Director at Hypatia Capital. Irina is focused on the consumer, business outsourcing and financial technology sectors. Prior to joining Hypatia, Ms. Anguelova spent 12 year as an investment banker, most recently as a Director in the Financial Institutions group at Merrill Lynch focusing on the FinTech sector. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Irina was at Citigroup, covering the FinTech and Technology sectors. She began her career in 1997 as an analyst in the Financial Institutions Group of Salomon Brothers. Ms. Anguelova has completed over 40 transactions with total deal value of over $25 billion. Ms. Anguelova graduated Magna cum Laude from Mount Holyoke College in 1997, majoring in Mathematics, Economics and Asian Studies. Irina is an avid sailor and skier.
Irina is fluent in English, Bulgarian and Russian and has a working knowledge of French, Spanish, and Japanese.
Jennifer Clarke, General Counsel
Ms. Clarke is Hypatia’s general counsel. Ms. Clarke has over 15 years of experience, both as general counsel for investment banks, including Rodman & Renshaw, and at major law firms, including Skadden Arps, Schulte Roth & Zabel and Fried Frank. She has experience in M&A transactions, both domestic and cross-border, and capital transactions ranging from private equity and private placements to IPO’s, PIPE’s and secondary offerings, for both U.S. companies and foreign issuers accessing U.S. capital markets, through direct investments and ADR offerings. Ms. Clarke has represented issuers, placement agents and investors. She holds her JD from the Boston University School of Law, and BA in Mathematics and French Literature from Wellesley College.
Sheila Ennis, Managing Director
Ms. Ennis is a Managing Director at Hypatia Capital with advisory, capital raising and M&A responsibilities, primarily in the technology sector. Sheila’s mandate is to build stronger ties between the women executives of the Fortune 1000 and Silicon Valley, home to the bulk of Ennis’s client relationships. She brings 20 years of equity research and investment banking experience to Hypatia. Prior to Hypatia, she was a partner at McNamee Lawrence & Co., a tech-focused investment banking boutique with roots in Hambrecht & Quist, one of the original tech-focused investment banks, where she launched her investment banking career and remained for 14 years. During her tenure at H&Q, now a division of JP Morgan Chase, she held positions of increasing responsibility first in institutional sales, then in equity research and finally in investment banking. Upon graduating from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society, she began her career as a management consultant with Optima Group. Sheila is a mentor and coach to over a dozen start-ups.

Susana de la Puente
Ms. De la Puente was Vice Chairman at J.P. Morgan until January 2007, responsible for J.P. Morgan’s senior clients in the Latin American region. Currently, Ms. de la Puente is an advisor of several companies, including The Rohatyn Group, a New York based asset management firm focused on emerging markets.
Ms. De la Puente has received a series of recognitions for her achievements: Euromoney named her “One of the Top Women in Finance”; Global Finance Magazine named her “one of the 20 Most Powerful Women in Global Finance”; and America Economia named her “Top 10 Most Powerful Women in Latin America”.
Margaret Mager
Ms. Mager was a Managing Director and Business Unit Leader – Retail Industry, Global Investment Research for Goldman Sachs until December of 2007. In this role she led a team of 19 research professionals covering more than 90 stocks across all sectors of retail. Ms. Mager has been named an All Star Analyst for eight consecutive years (1999-2007) by Institutional Investor, as well as recognized as a top analyst in surveys by Greenwich Associates, Reuters, Starmine, and The Wall Street Journal while at Goldman Sachs.
Dawn Riley
Dawn Riley is one of the best-known sailors in the world as well as a much sought after speaker, motivational leader and high-performance coach.
As CEO and Captain of America True, Dawn Riley was the first woman to manage an America's Cup sailing team. She is also the first American, man or woman to have raced on three America's Cup teams and two Whitbread Round-the-World Race (now Volvo Ocean Race) sailing teams. She has also been the general manager of the French Team, Areva Challenge, her fourth America’s Cup challenge. She is the former President of the Woman’s Sports Foundation, founded by Billie Jean King and is active in many public service and political activities. Dawn serves as a board member of US SAILING, the national governing body of sailing, the SCS Democratic Club, and is an advisor to many other organizations.
